Social-Emotional Learning Programme

The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Programme developed by the founder of Above and Beyond Education references the best practices of overseas programmes and is localised for Hong Kong students. The curriculum has been advised and endorsed by our Advisor who is a clinical psychologist, to ensure the quality of the Programme.

The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (2017) defines the five, core elements of the SEL Programme as: Self-awareness, Self-management, Social Awareness, Relationship Skills, and Responsible Decision Making. Over two decades of research demonstrates that education promoting SEL improves students’ learning efficacy, reduces negative behaviours, strengthens emotion management, enhances their ability to cope with pressure and anxiety, and sets the foundation for long-term personal growth.

Talks / Workshops for Parents,
Teachers, Students and Corporates

We are always invited by different organisations and schools from kindergartens to universities to deliver talks and workshops to students, parents, teachers, and staff. The topics include positive psychology/education, positive communication, social emotions, positive parenting and so forth. We believe that education for the new century can be very different if parents, schools, and all relevant stakeholders can come together to build a flourishing and joyful learning environment and society.

STEM Challenge

We feel privileged to have partnered with MTR for the STEM Challenge Programme in 2018/19 and 2019/20, which supports the development of STEM education in Hong Kong. The Programme provided STEM talks that were relevant to daily life, STEM competition, and a series of coding workshops which benefitted over 100,000 students from more than 100 secondary schools. Participating students had a chance to apply what they learned from the talks and workshops, with their creativity and technical knowledge, to solve real life problems.
